In contrast to standard consulting firms, Wildlands acquires land and implements
mitigation at its own expense. In partnership with others, Wildlands
invests its own resources upfront to plan, develop and permit projects,
and then shares in future revenues from the project.
Hands-On Approach
Unlike most mitigation banking companies, Wildlands implements its own projects
and maintains the responsibility for long-term land stewardship. Wildlands’ directors
are experienced leaders in business, environmental consulting, habitat
construction, and government, and the technical staff is made up of professionals
in landscape architecture, ecology, wildlife biology, AutoCad and GIS,
restoration design, marketing, land stewardship and range management.
This collection of expertise allows for a seamless approach to planning,
permitting, design, construction, and stewardship of any habitat restoration.
