About Wildlands
STEVE MORGAN, CEO, President: Founder and chairman of Wildlands, Mr. Morgan is responsible for executive oversight of all corporate activities. His prior business experience includes emphasis on real estate acquisition and finance.
MARK HEINTZ, COO, General Counsel: Mr. Heintz is responsible for the company's operations and legal matters. Mr. Heintz holds law degrees and diplomas from the Inns of Court School of Law, the University of London, and the University of Liverpool. Mr. Heintz's undergraduate studies were focused on Zoology and the Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary.
WILLIAM WEST, CFO: Mr. West is responsible for all accounting, finance, information technology and human resource functions of the company. Prior to joining Wildlands, Mr. West held senior management positions with several real estate companies, including Dunmore Homes, American Golf Corporation and Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation.
FOREST HALFORD, Vice President, Land Acquisition: Mr. Halford is responsible for overseeing the land acquisition process and assisting the Regional Managers with site suitability reconnaissance and analysis. Mr. Halford facilitates land acquisitions and ensures that they meet ecological and financial requirements. Mr. Halford has experience in natural resource management, environmental compliance and teaching.
DAN KOMINEK, Vice President of Land Management: Mr. Kominek oversees habitat stewardship, agricultural production, and tenant relations for over 25,000 acres of protected open space. Mr. Kominek came to Wildlands in 2004 from his position as Animal Resource Manager for the University of California at Davis
AUSTIN SCHELL, Vice President of East Coast Operations: Mr. Schell is accountable for the management and growth of Wildlands' East Coast operations. His responsibilities include strategic planning, business development, project financial underwriting/structuring, and the development of creative environmental and operational solutions. Prior to joining Wildlands, Mr. Schell worked for Parthenon Capital, a private equity firm, where he was responsible for the evaluation, diligence, and execution of investments in the financial services and business services sectors.
GREGORY P. SMITH, PWS, Vice President: Mr. Smith manages and oversees mitigation banking and ecosystem restoration projects in the southeast. Mr. Smith has designed, permitted, and managed construction on over 8,000 acres of wetland restoration and over 20 miles of stream restoration across the Southeast. Prior to joining Wildlands, Mr. Smith was a Principal at Acer Environmental, Inc.
SHAWN WILKERSON, Vice President, East Coast Regional Manager: Mr. Wilkerson manages a diverse range of projects including wetland/BMP construction and monitoring, stream restoration and enhancement, and watershed planning for flood control and water quality improvements. He has nine years of professional experience in water resources engineering, focusing on surface water hydrology and restoration.
TOM CANNON, Manager of Rivers and Estuary Program/Senior Ecologist: Mr. Cannon serves as the program manager for Wildlands' aquatic programs. Mr. Cannon's 30+ years of experience focus on river and estuary ecology, habitat restoration, monitoring, mitigation, and environmental assessment, as well as project management, permitting, planning, and implementation.
JOHN HUTTON, Senior Project Manager: Mr. Hutton is responsible for all aspects of wetland and stream restoration projects, as well as watershed and water quality projects. Mr. Hutton has managed numerous large-scale restoration projects for a variety of public and private clients throughout the Southeast, including the design and implementation of over 17 miles of restored stream and over 300 acres of restored wetlands.
CARL JENSEN, Design-Build Director/Landscape Architect: Mr. Jensen oversees all habitat restoration design and construction projects for Wildlands' western regions. He has over seven years of experience as a restoration designer, project manager, and construction manager working on habitat restoration projects.
CRAIG A. LYNCH, PE, Senior Engineer: Mr. Lynch is a licensed Professional Engineer in several states in the Southeast with more than 14 years of experience with water resources engineering. His experience includes preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic studies, design and review of stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs), erosion and sediment control plans, permitting, and stream restoration using natural channel design techniques.
JEFF MATHEWS, Director of Sales and Marketing: Mr. Mathews directs the matching of client needs with Wildlands' mitigation solutions. His prior background with the California Department of Transportation supplements his Wildlands experience to provide an exceptional understanding of wetland and species mitigation.
SKY MILLER, PE, Pacific Northwest Regional Manager: As regional manager for the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Miller is responsible for all aspects of large-scale wetland and conservation bank development, including site reconnaissance and acquisition, design, entitlement, construction, credit sales, and long-term management. He is a civil engineer with over 17 years of water resources engineering experience on large and dynamic rivers in Western Washington.
BRIAN MONAGHAN, Project Director: Mr. Monaghan's duties include mitigation credit sales, new market analysis and project development. Mr. Monaghan has over 12 years experience working for other mitigation banking firms as well as investment groups focused environmentally sensitive property. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
SHAROL MOORE, Director of Business Development: Ms. Moore is responsible for the business development efforts at Wildlands. She has 15 years of focused marketing experience in the development industry.
EMILY REINICKER, PE, CFM, Senior Water Resources Engineer: Ms. Reinicker's duties include technical review and project management for ecological restoration projects. She has eight years of professional experience in water resources and civil engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, natural channel design, watershed analysis and storm water management.
CINDY TAMBINI, Corporate Director of Entitlement and Compliance: Ms. Tambini oversees the Wildlands planning team in guiding mitigation projects through the required entitlement and permitting processes, with an emphasis on ensuring high-quality ecological mitigation and regulatory compliance. Ms. Tambini has ten years of experience in ecological permitting and compliance.
WAYNE WHITE, Director of Business Development: Mr. White spent 31 years with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. As the Chief of Endangered Species Program and a Field Supervisor in Region 1 of USFWS, Mr. White developed Endangered Species Act (ESA) policy in early years of implementing the Act. While managing the USFWS's largest field office in Sacramento CA, he played an integral role in developing policy for conservation and mitigation banks for USFWS.
